Site Upgrade

Well, that was strange... I spent an hour trying to figure out why the logins weren't responding properly after I upgraded the dbase. It turned out the problems were exclusive to Firefox -- IE was fine. I rebooted and now Firefox is operating normally.

Please let me know if anyone experiences problems logging in with Firefox.

I'm now going to make some stylesheet modifications - I have to split in about 2 hours, so I'll come back tomorrow and read your input.

Please report here any style requests or errors found.

Well, I'm generally opposed to using reverse text throughout an entire site, but I wanted to see how it performed. Let me know what you think.

I did some quick patchwork on the forums so most text could be read, but more thought should go into which colors are used. If the graphics experts here can mock something up I'll apply it.

For the front page I added a Wallpaper category (and icon in the header).

The images in the posts should be automatically appearing in your excerpts, but because it appears ya'll are still using temporary image hosting services instead of the upload feature. I recommend uploading your images to the server so it will work properly. You can use the thumbnail feature for your large images, like wallpaper.

I set a few examples of what can be done now...

The "Feature" category will place one article excerpt on the top center column.

The "Blog" category will appear on the top right (see example with video).

The 2nd and 3rd excerpts were created differently. On the 2nd (Manu) I forced an image to appear as the thumb. On the 3rd I just set an image in the post, and the thumbnail was automatically created.

There's a lot more features than I can mention here, but Admins will find instructions on many of them in the Lounge. Holler if you need any help, and if you can give me specific colors for the forums I'll implement your design mockups.

Commish - the white headers aren't showing on the whiteback background. The links need to be a different color.

Can you give me a link to the page which has the white background?

The stylesheets are cached, so it may just require a browser refresh.

A cache refresh fixed it, but now I need to re-do all of the icons.

...if you want to keep it this way. I can return the white background on the forums.... but that will create some challenges to make all links visible. Let me know what you prefer.

Im having a lot of trouble figuring out how to make the images other than teh basketball one work.....help:(
