"Winning this will qualify Uberlandia for the World Championships where, hopefully, they'll have the chance to face Tim Duncan and the Spurs. The question is, will the Spurs hold up their end of the bargain!?"

Hey, I hate to seem slow, but I have a question about this. I'm not familiar with the world championship... I'm assuming this is separate from USA Basketball/FIBA stuff (because we know Tim is dying to play FIBA ball again) In any case it sounds like it would be a heck of a game! I'd definitely want to see that. Any idea when it's supposed to happen?
"Why do you think someone's going to give you a championship? Come on! World championship?. I didn't hear anything about that. The NBA is planning however an NBA/FIBA tournament but it would supposedly only feature European and NBA teams that MUST HAVE Euro players on their squads (so more people will watch, Stern wants $$$). Of course, the tourney would take place in Europe and under FIBA rules.

It's a great idea, I'd really like to see CSKA Moscow from Russia, Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel, Panathinaikos from Greece and Tau Ceramica from Spain go against some NBA teams. I heard Maccabi has some serious shooters and bombers.

Lep, I'd like those teams to play under NBA rules and get their asses pummeled through the hardwood. ;)
