We are the descendant from the original Spurs Central which became SpursHoops which became SAHoops, which is still SAHoops.com and .net and I actually own the domain name SPURSCENTRAL. I just recently purchased it within the last week or so. 
 
Gene Hoffman otherwise known as Hoffy21 started SpursCentral  years ago. So he is in effect the benefactor here as he was the one who left it to us. For all I know Mr. Wright may have written for Gene back in the day. It's really a non-issue. Ownership is 90% of the law, eh Pitter?

Hopefully it won't be a problem, but having a tripod fan site isnt the same as owning a dot com domain, especially one that has been up and around for YEARS.

That's the benefit of having it called SAHoops.com SpursCentral. No problems for anyone. 
 
One other thing that will separate us from other sites is the fact that this will be the site truly by the fans for the fans. You may very well write an article for the site. If you have material that is not offensive, is objective or subjective about the Spurs, the NBA in general; or if you have something to say, well, as you can tell from the offset in the old SpursCentral, you have a voice. We re not a conglomerate company like Rivals was, we are a bunch of fans... real fans who are putting our own time and effort, blood, sweat and money into this. Ask Drew, he can tell you. Ask the other regulars here, they can tell you. Hard earned money. 
 
 We will be writing the articles and posting the updates with Spurs News and opinions and all that. We awill also be posting links to other related Spurs & NBA news from aound the globe. Now, Drew is driving that particular bus right now. My buddy Drew never fails to get done when he sets his mind to doing it. He has said that he has no problem with posting feature articles by regular fans like all of us. That was the idea of the very first SpursCentral. So in a way the fact someone else had a spurscentral is fitting. It's all about the fans here.

But this site if much doper and quite fly. I'm happy that the site is still going strong here, and that our original charter, by the fans for the fans, is alive and well.

There is yet another Spurs fan site on the way which he is calling SpursBasketball.com.

Personally, I agree. I would love to have a webring for Spurs sites too, but I know some of them would not go for that. I do not know that banning has actually occured, but I have been told that posters are "encouraged" not to visit here ........
