Pre-existing frienships or did you guys meet randomly at the forum? I'm stumbled into this forum group by accident and have since ruled.

I personally had spent about a year surfing the net reading various forums and by chance through a now defunct webpage called prosportspage.com I saw a direct link from their SA section directly to a Rivals site called SpursHoops.com. I went into the forums and read. Then about two and a half months into just dropping in and reading, the great SA/Orlando debate during the off-season turned the board into troll central. Pitter, Spursman, Blondie, Spurswoman, Spursfan, Hoffy, and Mikeyp were the regulars that are still with us here. Deftone1220 has since changed his name. And I miss the rest of the gang that are no longer regulars here. The thing about the forum that I enjoyed the most was the idea of respect for the site. We had and still have the best admin. I am admin here now because I learned from the best (Tim, Mike and Gene)
If there were any idiots like the infamous Conan and Bear they would get tossed. This site is only for the intelligent Spurs fans. The site says: by the fans for the fans. The fact of the matter is we also entertain the best of the other side. Only top notch Laker's, Jazz and others post here. We are cool here but we as a group take sHlt from nobody, The one thing that I liked about the forum was that we all watched each others back during attacks from trolls.
But anyway................Mikey came up with the idea to meet at Hooters for a game. Some declined but many of us showed. Okay well only I showed. But the next GTG's were very succesful. We have a great group of people here and we all get along great. Nevermind that the two female regulars here have the most brains and beauty than anywhere on the net.
But yes, we are all friends now and that's the important part.
Well, consider Grande David a friend of the forum as well and, as I mentioned in another posting, hopefully I'll be in San Antonio during one of the get togethers. If I can't make it, I send abraços (hugs) from Brazil! Great site. I normally hate forums but I'm a nutcase around here, posting my a$$ off! Like you said, its a friendly group of friends, the top notch sports and Spurs fans.
Os Spurs serão campeonatos no ano 2002!

My saga began during the '99 playoffs. They had advertised that WOAI was having a chat after each game hosted by CyberBob. The first one was WILD - over a hundred people there........I started going all the time and met quite a few interesting people that became "regulars" like our own Hoffy and a lady named Susie who ran GOSPURSGO.Com at the time. We kept going to the chat at specified times long after the playoffs were over and became quite good friends. Initially I helped out a lot with gospursgo, but after the playoffs and through the following year they weren't doing anything with it. I had visited Hoffy's site before he joined Rivals, and he invited me to come over and help out so I did........And I have brought a few people I knew outside the page with me but Mikey is the only one who stayed around (sort of). So that is my story..............

I met everyone thru this site. They started having GTG's for certain games. I didn't make the first one but I think I made all the rest of them (maybe missed one other) except for when the playoffs were going on since I wanted to record them. I expect to start up again soon. Hope you do get to make it. The GTG's are generally held in family oriented joints so we can bring the kiddos if we want.
