That's our system, and it's won us a championship. So we should just jettison it and totally rework it to fit an aging point guard who still can't get his team a ring?<br>

How about instead we beef up the middle, since point guard play in the West isn't the big concern? Parker did just fine getting us to the Finals. If Parker was a free agent, I could see weighing the options, but are you going to bench Parker after he's started for two years? May as well just waive him at that point. His career will be effectively over. Nobody can handle that kind of ego blow.<br>

Would you have traded David Robinson and Tony Parker for Jason Kidd? Because that's effectively what we would be doing by signing Kidd. We're not replacing DRob, and we're losing TP, and then adding Kidd.<br>

Again, when Jason Kidd proves he can at least attempt to guard Shaq and Webber and Garnett, I'll be happy to have him. Until then, he's just another point guard who hasn't managed to win anything.
