Something we all have missed, I think:

We don't need to replace David Robinson the MVP, we need to replace David Robinson of the last two years. Which means a good rebounder and great defender who can give us @ 20 minutes a game.

If we get more than that, it's pure gravy. Let's face it, we won the championship without a second star. And honestly, I think we're going to grow our stars. Our Big Three for the future is likely to be Duncan, Parker, and Manu. Shouldn't we be putting some salary cap room aside to pay the big contracts TP and Manu will be able to command soon?

My biggest issue with Brad Miller is that he averaged less than a block per game, as a seven footer in the lEastern Conference. Not good. It's possible he wasn't in a system that would feed him blocks, however. Duncan and DRob got so many blocks in part because Pop's system has the perimeter defenders funneling their guys into the middle, so it could be that Miller would work nicely.

With TP being a big scorer (and only getting better), and Manu coming into his own after fully healing and getting used to the NBA, do we really need a second big scorer, or is a rebounder/shot blocker not more important? Heck, at this point I wonder if Keon Clark wouldn't be a great fit. Isn't he a FA this year?
