I Survived the Spurs 5k - PIC Included!

Maybe it's just the fact I don't, historically, get along with teachers. I have a bad habit of making fun of them because they can't do anything to me. Then they always do something to me to shut me up.

I was actually enjoying hearing you get all mad at that guy at Ashley's. It was entertaining. I had a feeling it was you (that, and you repeatedly mentioned my name), but I wasn't about to interrupt a tirade for the sake of introducing myself and taking some confusion away from the situation. It was funny.

Eh, whatever. The race today was most deffinately fun, and significant motivation for me to make it to the next g2g. I'm just upset Mandy and Grande couldn't make it. But like I said, if y'all are any indication of the type of people on this place, I feel glad to be a part of it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Happy Easter.
On Saturday, March 26th Spurs guard Brent Barry and his wife Erin along with other runners and walkers particlpated in the Ashley Furniture HomeStore Spurs 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Blue Ribbon Child Abuse Task Force. This past December, Barry was named Honorary Chairman of the Task Force, and Erin is an Executive Committee member.
The race was a first time running/walking event organized by the San Antonio Spurs. The race was a fun event for all ages all while raising money to fight child abuse in Bexar County.

Participants received a commemorative race t-shirt and a ticket to an upcoming Spurs home game. Racers were entered in categories according to age and gender and awards were given to top finishers of all age divisions.

Chairman Carlos Uresti created the Blue Ribbon Child Abuse Task Force to work with city, county and state elected officials as well as community leaders to increase accountability of Child Protective Services to provide a better safety net to protect our children. The Task Force hopes to raise awareness of the increase of child abuse cases in Bexar County and across Texas.
I really wanted to run that but I had a tennis tournament that day, a singles match and a mixed doubles with my sister and there was no way to get out of it.
