Quote:
Most people don’t see the value of Rasho, as the team does, because he’s not Robinson. Rasho is also the team’s best defender.

Correction: Rasho is the best "team defender" on the Spurs. He knows how to get into the right positions at the right times. He alters a lot of shots with his length....(That itself is a paraphrase, but a little more accurate I think.)
Quote:
What???? Malik has guarded Shaq a lot of times! He's great at play D on Shaq.

Popazit went on to say that sure Malik has guarded Snaq, but that it wasn't the best of match-ups. They have been undersized and needed a bigger big. He said one thing Malik can't do is grow 5 inches.

The part about Rasho, I agree with. I appreciate the strengths of Rasho more after his recent stint on the injured list.

The part about Malik guarding Snaq I disagree with. It didn't sound like a sincere, thoughtful answer. It sounded like a cop-out, an excuse. It sounded like the excuse-making they did after dumping Antonio Daniels.

The part about Malik getting a ring if the Spurs win it all, I don't think anyone has to worry about it. The players will take care of that. I wouldn't put it past Tim Duncan to honour Malik with his own ring if necessary.
