Things I want to see and don't want to see on Sunday

In no particular order: 
 
Don't want to see: 
 
Pop going to the desperation substitutions trying to find something that works. 
 
Want to see: 
 
Pop make his starters log heavy minutes. Its war and if we can't win with our big dogs doing it this close to the summit, they don't deserve it anyway. I don't want to see Rasho, Devin and whomever out there early. I will allow Robert Horry to play. But let the big money guys earn their pay. If they can't, then they're not Gs, but bustas. 
 
Don't want to see: 
Tim stand around, slow with the ball, buttery with the ball, and taking fade away punked out shots. 
 
Want to see: 
 
Tim realize that the refs will not have the stones to get him into foul trouble in such a big game. Tim must take it up and hard to the rack. 
 
Don't want to see: 
 
Ben Wallace jumping the picks, pushing Tony Parker into a near half court violation and disrupting the offense 
 
Want to see: 
 
Tony & Co. see it coming and drop a quick back door to Tim or someone for the quick strike open 10 footer. No dancing out left above the three point line every time. 
 
Don't want to see: 
 
The stupidity of not hitting the boards 
 
Want to see: 
 
Some timely jumping on rebounds and basic fundamental rebounding positioning, at least on the defensive end, for heaven's sake. 
 
What are some things you do and don't want to see?

WANT: 
to play SMART 
DO NOT WANT: 
stupid play. no dumb passes. no horrible shot selection. no laziness. 
 
WANT: 
hustle. 
DO NOT WANT: 
the attitude that everything should be given to us. 
 
WANT: 
taking control of the game and not backing down. 
DO NOT WANT: 
us to back down to the piston's physicality. the REFS are not going to bail us out so we can't whine and wait around, we have to "take the bull by it's horns." 
 
WANT: 
big games from TIM, TONY, and MANU 
DO NOT WANT: 
MANU and TONY to stray away from driving the ball. i don't wanna see them dancing around the 3 pt line and shooting up horrible shots. get TIM started early. we need to TIM to play like TIM. he cannot be lackadaisical on the defensive end. he's been getting played by McDyess all series. that's unacceptable. 
 
WANT: 
Championship mentality 
DO NOT WANT: 
a poor performance 
 
WANT:

I want to see a team that looks like they belong there. 
I want to see aggressiveness. 
I want to see fearless ness in the Spurs eyes and fear in the Piston's eyes. I dont think that is asking too much.

want to see chauncey and rip on their a@@es. 
 
don't want to see refs allowing chauncey to hack tony's head off his shoulders without a flagrant call. 
 
want to see timmy and manu rise to the ocassion. 
 
don't want to see raweed open his mouth and ben offensive rebounding. 
 
want to see spurs coming back to SA with 3-2 lead. 
 
don't want to see turnovers. 
 
want to see 3 gold trophies next time i'm in SA.

Want to see: 
I want to see Tim man up and be aggressive. The media's lovefest with Manu aside - this team starts and ends with Tim Duncan. Period. The energy feeds off of him. 
 
Don't want to see: 
Spurs on the floor. 
 
Want to see: 
Some kind of tweek to throw the Pistons off. There is another thread about starting Horry. But maybe a good experiment might be to start Devin Brown over Manu. WAIT - hear me out! It worked in the Denver series against Camby and Martin by starting Barry. In this series Prince would have free reign over Barry. That's why you go with Devin. He's much more aggressive and then it allows Manu to be the spark off the bench again. 
 
Don't want to see: 
Pop playing musical chairs with players. Let them play it out. 
 
Wan't to see: 
A Spurs team that passes the ball to break down the Pistons defense not a team that passes because they're afraid to take the shot. 
 
Don't want to see:

Worked in '03 with Steve Kerr. Devin Brown has been nice off the bench and he hasn't turned it over like crazy.

^NZ, you've gotta use subs. Take my comment with a grain or two of salt. But you don't want to see those crazy combinations again early in the game. I think Pop knows now that they won't work. 
 
Btw, a Steve Kerr type player/shooter is sorely missed by the Spurs. Barry is just not that guy right now. <div style="text-align:center"><img src="http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/6171/GD.jpg"/></div>

I'd like to see a Spurs win, simple I know. I don't care what it takes, whether we have to rebound more or Parker and Ginobili drive to the basket. Playing with more aggression would help. If we have to start clubbing their players over the head, okay maybe not that one. At this point it doesn't matter. 
 
Also, McDyess has to stop scoring<img src=http://www.sahoops.net/smilies/wtf.gif ALT=":wtf"> . That's what I kept yelling at the TV. And Lindsay Hunter had 17 points when I turned off the game. I knew their role players were going to play better, but that is unacceptable. Either the role players score or the starters score. We can't have their whole team scoring. This brings back memories of Phoenix when Phoenix was scoring at will. At least we were able to stop Phoenix when it counted. I feel like McDyess is laughing at us and our top rated defense. It's starting to bother me.
