I'll see your baseless assumptions about my take on DRob and raise you one solid debate!

Manu was the second scoring option for the first few games of the season. After that, Devin took over and Manu fell into his role as more of a special teams person. Parker, meanwhile, has recorded season highs in points in the last two consecutive games.

Manu plays a role for us very similar to the Rangers in Iraq. It's the infantry that take out most the opponent, and they are the faces for the war that you see on the news. But the special teams like the Rangers, meanwhile, fill a very specific role which is more vital to the US's success in the war than anyone else. They take out the main targets, and they often go unnoticed. The Rangers prefer it that way.

Manu does the job of the Rangers on the Spurs. He gets the steals, sparks the runs, hustles for key rebounds, and harasses the opponent until they cave in. Manu is not the face of the Spurs' offense, and he likes it that way. He makes calculated, intelligent, and above all, symbolic plays that help the Spurs secure their victory.

There is an arguement to be made for almost all of the players I listed to be the second scoring option. However, Manu does not appear to be, right now at least, Duncan's offensive sidekick.
