| I like Dave. He is the greatest Spur every and if Tim can pass him up, then Tim will be one of the top ten players ever in the NBA.

I can't believe that Dominique Wilkins didn't get a mention.
He led the Spurs in scoring for a season you know...

I doubt that anyone will ever mean more to the Spurs than David Robinson has.
I hate to compare Tim and David because both are great players. But without David the Spurs would not be in San Antonio now. If Tim leaves next year (not that he will!) the organization would survive. They might be bottom feeders for a while, but they would survive in San Antonio.
If you look just at their numbers as players, they are really close. David outperformed at blocks per game, field goal percentage, and points per game each year.
If I have to choose, I'll pick David.

| Obviously David Robinson until Tim Duncan gets statistically closer to him. The Spurs have never had ANYBODY in David Robinson and Tim Duncan´s class.
"David Robinson represents everything that is good in the world, and everything that is good in the world of sports," former NBA star and current NBC commentator Bill Walton said. "We can never thank him enough for his leadership. Everything he did represents the great values you look for in a human being. We are going to miss him terribly."
