I am not afraid to say that I would take Rasho over any center in the league not named Shaq. He does more things that don't show up in the box score than any player on this team.

:cheers

Sorry Sam. You know me. I just can't resist spreading a little mutiny once in a while. Besides, it's just too easy to pile on Rasho for letting the Bobcats push him around and give him an Ofer. But if you still want to go hunting, Karl Malone says the Little Mexican Girl hunting season ends March 31. :amigo :lasergun

RASHO is now the most overpaid player on our team.

Gotta love one-word answers. Care to elaborate?

I feel Creation is right on with that. Manu is living up to his contract, Parker is DEFFINATELY living up to his. Malik is gone (the obvious choice) and Nazr is playing great. The only one questionable is Brent but even then he's added a whole lot more intangibles to the team that Rasho and a philanthropist could ever hope. He's also very tradable. VERY tradeable. Rasho is not. Rasho is a 7 foot statue. A rottweiler and some curry powder could provide more offensive output than that guy. edit!// Rasho, prepare to be unfairly demoralized!

Okay this is going to stop right here, Sam. Go and read the terms of use and forum rules, if you'd like.

I understand the nature of fans is fickle at best. And no one is required to like a certain player if he or she doesn't feel like it.

I find it humorous that even when Malik was still here, that one day he was the "whipping boy" when weeks prior, not playing Malik was considered stupid by the fans of Pop.

So the new whipping boy will likely be one by commitee. Tony for holding the ball to long. Devin for turning the ball over to McGrady. Horry for trying to many three's. Manu for throwing the crazy pass out of bounds.

This is how it will be.

Rasho is not the beast we would all want him to be but I do not see him as the reason we lose a game. The Spurs are learning to use him effectively on the defensive end and anything he can give us on the offensive end is obviously a plus.

Brent Barry has moved from the Sonics team that could pull up and shoot the ball most effectively off of the screen and on fastbreaks. I have not seen a player move from the position where he either is in a fastbreaking offense or creating his own shot on the perimeter to where he is set shooter with open shots. brent Barry is a teriffic ball-player and can shoot the lights out. He just hasn't.

That's the nature of sports. That's why we're all here talking about the Spurs. That's why you live and die with a team. That's why following a team, claiming ownership, strikes something so primal.

It's the joy in seeing them winning, and it's the lows you get from watching them lose. It's the same kind of emotional roller coaster you get from watching a good movie. Some people like action movies, where everyone gets shot up and blown to pieces. We'll call them "Blazer fans." Some people like commedies, where humor can be derived from a number of sources. We'll call them "professional hockey fans." Some people like dramas. Laker fans. Some people like solid entertainment, G-rated films in the likes of Shrek and Finding Nemo. Spurs fans, that's you. Some people attempt to make bad jokes when a serious response is much better. We'll call them "me."

You follow a team because it's entertaining, and you discuss what you like and don't like about the team just like you offer a review of a movie to your buds in the car ride home. My opinion of Rasho, of Tony, of T-Mass, Malik, Manu, or Duncan, it's all just that: an opinion, a review. Sometimes you may not aggree with the review of a movie. That's fine. That's what makes for interesting conversations.

I rag on Rasho because he's just another actor in the film (of if you were following my analogy from before, an animated character). I don't hate the guy, I like the team. They're entertaining. They're a great movie. You don't take the critics' review of a movie seriously, and you don't let that affect what you think of the movie or the genre. I'm offering an opinion. I may not like one actor, but I certainly enjoyed the movie. So long as you did too, I think we're cool.

You poor thing. Ever heard of guys named Big Z, Brad Miller, Camby, Big Ben, Magloire...shoot I'd even take Chris Mihm over Rasho.

I picked Rasho because it's FUN to pick on him! :P Maybe i'm dating myself but Rasho reminds me of the geeky pictures of players in these old basketball instructional books from the 1950's that we had at my grade school library like "Better Basketball".

^^You might be poking fun, but Rasho goes through his periods of getting ragged on. And he probably will again soon or early next season.

No. He's going to be traded this summer...................:eyebrows
