My computer died!!!!!!!!!!

so far I LOVE IT except for the fact that windows 7 OS doesn't like my printer scanner even after I installed the new drivers. It prints just fine but won't recognize my computer when I want to scan. I can get it to work but its ridiculously complicated and before all I had to do was push a button.

With windows 7 I have to go to the start menu then to all programs then to windows fax and scan to scan a document. Just FYI, not sure if that is what you are doing now.

it is but if you are caning a bunch of documents that is very tiresome - before I just had to push the scan button - also I am having trouble saving it to teh format I want PFFFTTTTT :(

Vuescan software from Hamrick is a very good, platform agnostic scanning program. The pro version guarantees you updates for life, and is compatible with many, many different makes and models. It has settings for you to make it very simple, and easy to use, or as complex and your professional scanning needs may be.

I swear, this guy lives in his basement and does nothing but update his scanning software. He sends out updates quite often, and the software is awesome. Highly recommended.

I just built a 6-core bad ass couple months ago.

I had the computer hooked up to an older printer/scanner/fax that was an HP we bought separately - plan to hook it up the printer that came with it this weekend which should solve my driver issue and give the old one to a friend that needs it - her computer has XP so it should work just fine for her.........
