Made an Ace

After 20 years of playing golf I made my first Hole in One yesterday. 167 yard Par #3

awesome, I've only gone golfing 4-5 times (although have gone to the driving range to practice a lot) still have a lot of work to get anywhere close to making an ace.

Congrats man. Major accomplishment there. I once watched my buddy drop shot 1 right into the cup. It was pretty cool just to see a hole in one. He reaction was the best though. He said "finally", as he had been golfing quite a bit for many years.

I think my best shot ever was hitting a moving truck on the beach.

I know zilch about golf but I am assuming congratulations are in order

The only bad thing was...i was playing with the two biggest drunks in the club. I had the bar tab

Had lots of "holes in one". If you count the lake as a hole, or the ditch, or the poison ivy patch in the woods....

Wish I could report I to have made an ace, but since I last posted in here (Nov 2010) I have greatly improved; currently avg about 83-89. Prior to that my avg would be high 90s/100s but after a very frustrating front 9 about 8 months ago I decided to change my swing up on the spot, to a very unorthodox looking swing (little like Jim Furyk). Immediately I was making better contact with the ball especially with my long irons. And today at the range I made a slight change with how I grip the club (better consistency now) and how I set up for my driver.

Also wanted to mention I shot my lowest score ever (thanks to the new swing) about 5 months ago, an 82. I never thought I would be able shoot a score that low. My next goal is to break 80.
