TUF 13 Coaches Announced

UFC President Dana White announced today that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and number one contender Junior dos Santos will match wits as the coaches of season 13 of the hit Spike TV reality series.

Following the season, which begins filming later this month and begins airing on March 30, Lesnar and dos Santos will then match fists in the Octagon at a date and location to be announced in June. The winner will face current heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, who is currently sidelined with a torn rotator cuff.

“It’s gonna be a very interesting six weeks of filming,” said White during a media teleconference Tuesday. “These two will coach, then they’ll fight, and the winner of the fight will fight Cain Velasquez when he’s healthy.”

I like the coaches being named, but I don't like what will result from the finale; more controversy of who deserves the #1 contender spot for the Heavyweight title.

Dos Santos definitely deserves a shot at Cain before Brock gets a rematch.

I'm so glad my friend got me into MMA a few years ago when I was in college, because MMA doesn't have an offseason, something I can follow all year long when the NBA season is over.

Well one of my favorite fighters Jon "Bones" Jones became the youngest UFC Champion (Age: 23) this past Saturday at UFC 128, dominating Shogun.

I am really looking forward to the Jones-Rampage fight.

Also, in my opinion Silva should jump up a class and fight Jones, he seems to not have any more competition at middleweight. Either that, or maybe St. Pierre can jump up to middleweight to fight Silva.

Have to agree: for me there are only 3 fights I want to see involving Anderson Silva

1. GSP vs Silva
2. Sonnen vs Silva
3. Bones vs Silva

anything else just isn't worth watching

I can't wait for UFC 144 this weekend - the card is stacked! Edgar will probably win but I'm rooting for Henderson. I usually root for the underdog if I don't have a strong liking for the champ (such as GSP). That Bader-Jackson fight should be really entertaining as well.

I've got 2 TVs in my living room - so I think I'll have the fight on one and the All-Star Saturday night on the other. My wife is going to hate me tomorrow night...
