Brown would consider Euro move

Brown would consider Euro move

Postby Blondie on Wed Nov 22, 2006 1:45 pm

Exclusive! Devin Brown's agent has told eurosport.com that the former NBA player is not in discussions with any European clubs at the moment, but he has confirmed that a move to Europe is "not out of the question."

The former Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, and San Antonio Spurs guard has played over 200 NBA career games, including over 20 games in the playoffs, and would be a high quality addition for any Euroleague outfit.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Eldo Napoli have been linked with the player, but Brown's agent Derek Powell says there is no truth in such rumours.

"We have not discussed anything at all with those clubs," Powell told eurosport.com.

"Devin is currently working out constantly and is in great shape. We are waiting for the phone to ring and we will consider any offers that come to us.

"A move to Europe is not out of the question, and I have no doubt he could do a great job wherever he goes."

Brown was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Golden State Warriors in the summer, but was waived during training camp.

I just can't believe the Hawks or Bobcats didn't try to pick up Devin - he is still a pretty good player compared to some of the guys on their roster....

Im suprised no one has either. Atlanta has to many guys like D-Bo as it is, so Im not suprised they'd pass him up. I was actually thinking he'd go back to Denver or even San Antonio.

Why would Bowen want to go to Europe??

He plays on the best team in the league and as a starter! we would he come to Europe when he is already a defensive superstar in the NBA??

I hate it when reporter say that NBA players want to go to Europe.

Oh...I'm stupid... :bang:

I thought they talked about Bowen and not Brown.

In the case of Devin I think that if he wants to go to Europe then Maccabi would be a nice fit for him.

And they are searching a gaurd to replace Rodney Buford(ex-Grizz).

But I still think he is a good player and should try and stay in the NBA.
