Free throws

Free throws

If I've ever seen a loss attributable to poor free throw shooting, it was tonight against the Cavs. What the heck is it!? You'd think that nice guys like the Spurs would knock em down blindfolded. Is it because they are so rigid and serious that when they get a relaxing moment at the line their muscles just won't calm enough? Seriously, I'm baffled.

Once again, Tim was unstoppable down the stretch but missed some key foul shots. Tough loss. But its early.

The Cavs were pretty bad from the line as well. I'd attribute this loss to horrible shooting, some poor shot selection, and a big time Mavs hangover.

The Spurs were busy patting themselves on the back in the 20 or so hours between this game and the one last night.

It's not surprising.

The positives are that Duncan has yet to come untracked, and the Spurs were still in this game to the end despite the Cavs executing almost flawlessly (except for freethrows) and the Spurs playing like a JV squad.

Why can't LeBronze play like that when he is representing his country?

Yeah I was think about a possible letdown from the Mavs game. Guess the Spurs still have their issues on second nights of back-to-back games.

Man, will the free throw woes EVER end????

Tim needs to study some film of Karl Malone and ought to mimic his relaxed, smooth free throw stroke. Tim is too damn rigid, like he's launching torpedos or something. He ought to bounce his knees a bit, and slowly bring his arms back all the way to his point of release.
