After a great win thanks in part from a few unexpected sources (Green and TJ) the Spurs follow it up on a B2B against the defending champion Mavs. Luckily the Spurs get to finish the back end of the B2B at home; especially following the 1st game the Spurs starters and role players had to play extended minutes.

It will be interesting to see who gets the starting spot at SG (Green, JA, Neal???).

I heard that Green was a beast on defense yesterday.

He was. I was really impressed with his play - he had several near steals while guarding Ellis and was just very active in general, getting his hands on the ball and disrupting plays. I've never seen him in such extensive minutes and he really showed off his motor. The guy can shoot too.

With that said, I think that either Neal or Green will get the starting nod tonight. Anderson continued to struggle last night (although I think it's just a matter of time before he gets it going) and Pop already trusts Neal and Green just made a huge jump forward.

This is a tough one. Historically the Spurs don't do well on the second game of a B2B. Especially if the first game was high energy like last night. It's hard to tell if Danny Green will have another stellar defensive game. But I feel both he and TJ Ford have something to prove. Also, despite Tony coming through in the 4thQ he sucked most of the game. He, Tiago and Anderson all sucked. So they are all due for a better game tonight. Bonner, surprisingly, needs to play defense like he did last night. Just play for the 48 minutes.

My natural inclination is to be pessimistic without Manu. But I think the Spurs will find a way to not let the so called "champs" and Mr. Kardashian to get away with this one.

Oh yeah, and - FTM!!!

Neal opens the game with a 3 (first basket for either team)

RJ follows with jumper off a screen; Neal hits another 3, Parker hits a jumper on the right wing

10-2 ; Mavs call timeout!!!

Great start to the game. Both our offense and defense are clicking and running smoothly.

spurs San Antonio Spurs
With tonight’s 93-71 victory over the Mavericks, the Spurs improve to 5-0 at home for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

The albino mole rat has horrendous eyesight, and must use it's tongue to taste it's way through precarious situations.
