I'm happy with this trade. Hill wasn't going no where really, didn't seem like he'd be really relevant in the future. Kawhi is a better version of PHX's Grant Hill (non prime).

yahoo sports

The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to trade backup guard George Hill(notes) for the draft rights to Kawhi Leonard, the Indiana Pacers’ No. 15 pick, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Hill, the No. 26 pick in the 2008 draft, developed into a dependable reserve for the Spurs. He averaged 11.6 points and 2.5 assists last season. The Spurs also received the Pacers’ No. 42 pick in the draft, sources said.
More From Adrian Wojnarowski

Leonard, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward from San Diego State University, was projected by some to go in the top 10 of the draft.

Looks like a typical Spurs pick. Decent defender, can't shoot or cannot create own shot. déjà vu all over again.

With all the rumors it looked like the Spurs where going to unload Parker or Hill and it ended up being Hill

Strengths:

* Relentless rebounder
* Huge hands
* 7-foot-1 wingspan
* Can put the ball on the floor
* Can guard several positions
* Big-time leaper

I heard he was the best offensive rebounder in this draft.

They will probably pick up a veteran PG. Not sure who's out there but there is Neal, Anderson and now possibly they can work Da'Sean Butler into the rotation as well.

God, I hope so. That could help with another SF and big man.
