The Spurs’ epic affair with Richard Jefferson is over. The team has decided to use the amnesty provision on its starting small forward — a guy who ranked fifth in the league in three-point shooting last season for a team that, as John Schuhmann pointed out, loves the corner three more than any other.

I think RJ will do better with a run and gun team. He never fit in with the Spurs.

Why they resigned him when he opted out last year was mind boggling no one was offering him that type of contract. Sorry but Bufford ad company panicked on the thin market and now it is costing us three fold

I was pissed last year over the contract this just galls me even more. Hate basketball GM they are terrible overpay way to often

I read that as of now he is reporting to camp - they have not officially released him - probably waiting to see if they can sign someone else since Butler gave us the shake off. I can't believe he signed with the Clippers........
