"Pretty much every game, if you challenge a shot properly, there's a possibility a guy could land on your foot," Skiles said. "Now why that has happened to (Bruce) so many times, I don't know. But that would be very hard to judge if that is intentional or not. I tend to think it's not. It's just an unfortunate thing that happens. Maybe not enough guys challenge shots. Maybe that's the reason you don't see it more."
I didn't care for Skiles as a player in the NBA - he never displayed the mojo he had in college - but he is a darn good coach and I think it showed a lot of class for him to speak out for Bowen and not join the Pile-On That Ray Allen started.........
