Spurs launch canned yam drive

Canned yams are being collected by the San Antonio Spurs for the 14th annual Lend a Helping Yam food drive benefiting the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner.


Cans will be collected from 5 to 8 p.m. today and Friday at the east entrance on Northeast Plaza of the AT&T Center.

The first 100 people to donate 10 cans or more of yams will receive two free tickets to an upcoming game.
