LAS VEGAS -- The San Antonio Spurs remained perfect in the 2010 NBA Summer League as they handed the Los Angeles Clippers a 77-62 loss Saturday night at COX Pavilion.

The Spurs were led by Alonzo Gee who recorded a game high 20 points and was assisted by Tyler Wilkerson who chipped in 12 points. The Clippers had two players in double --figures, Al Farouq Aminu with 16 and DeAndre Jordan with 11.

After leading by as many as six in the opening quarter of the game, the Clippers were held to just eight second quarter points as the Spurs outscored them 27-8 to finish the first half. After shooting 53.8 percent from the field in the first quarter, the Clippers shot just 18.8 percent in the second (3-16).

The Spurs finished the third quarter up 56-41 and continued to dominate the Clippers owning a 16 point lead during the quarter. The Spurs built their lead to as many as 19 in the fourth before the Clippers made a run holding the Spurs scoreless for over two minutes and cutting San Antonio's lead to 11. The Spurs answered back rebuilding their lead to as many as 16 in the final minutes of the game.

The Spurs will take on the Grizzlies on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack in their final game of summer league action. The Clippers will play in the final game of the 2010 NBA Summer League on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. as they host the D-League Select team.

After watching Alonzo Gee I was pretty impressed!! He looks like he will be able to help out the Spurs in scoreing. Add him with James Anderson and we have some good offense. But as these guys develop as players with the Spurs. Pop will polish them into playing defense, once they do that their offense will cone to
them easy. DeJuan didn't have to play because Pop and the Spurs know what he is capable if doing. But all in all I think the Spurs have got them some good young talent that they have bit had in years.
