It should work now. I had to figure out the right way to format it in this forum.

Its working for me now. Nice post.

Hoopshype has Marcus Williams on the roster too but I don't think his contract is fully guaranteed and it is very small in NBA terms, at less than $1 million.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/san_antonio.htm

Spurs also have to sign Blair now. Since he was drafted in the second round contract negotiations may take some time. Hell George Hill didn't sign last year until the last minuet and he was on the rookie scale.

So if we consider Blair and maybe Williams as on the roster we would have 9 or 10 on the on the team with essentially 5 or 6 open spots.

Will the Spurs give the whole MLE, estimated to be $5-5.5 million, to one player or split it up on fillning out the roster?

They could hopefully get Bruce back on the cheap and bring in Gist too. What we really need though, at least in my eyes is a big man. Someone who can bang on Gasoft and body up Shaq in the finals.

With the current status of these contracts, It might be possible that none of them will be back when their contracts are up. Mason, Finey, and Bonner are pretty much gone after 2010, and I would hope the Spurs put a trade deal together for Parker for a high draft pick, and Ginobili will take less money (even thought I think he shouldn't) But it's a guarantee that Duncan will retire a Spurs. Rumor has it that those bastard Mavs will have more Cap space available come 2010, but If the Spurs clean house, then they could land a great free agent.

I wouldn't mind keeping Mason - he is a solid 6th man but Finley and Bonner really need to go - it's time!

I think we need to keep Finley for insurance purposes to back up Mason, Manu, and Jefferson. We can't trade Bonner until Haislip shows he can fill that role as a big with a 3 point shot. I say right now we need to keep the team we have in tact.

Here is the updated Roster:

Under contract:
Duncan (3 years remaining)
Parker (2 years)
Ginobili (1 year)
Bonner (1 year)
Finley (1 year)
Mason (1 year)
Hill (3 years)
Mahinmi (2 years)
Jefferson (2 years)
McDyess (3 years)
Ratlif (1 year)
Blair (4 years)
Haislip (2 years)
Hairston (1 year not guarenteed)
Williams (1 year not guarenteed)

Hairston guaranteed: Wednesday was an important day for second-year Spur Malik Hairston.

The 6-foot-7 swingman from Oregon was among a large group of players whose contracts became fully guaranteed at the end of Wednesday's business day.

The league's collective bargaining agreement specifies all contracts are guaranteed, as of Jan. 10 of each season. Because Jan. 10 this year falls on a Sunday and the league office is closed all weekend, players had to be waived by Wednesday in order to clear waivers by the end of Friday's business day.

Hairston will make $736,420.
