Curry to Spurs?

Curry to Spurs?

Postby SVballer on Fri Nov 07, 2008 10:34 am

The Knicks are said to be dangling Eddy Curry but a third team may need to be involved to make the trade happen.

The San Antonio Spurs are desperate for additional scoring and may feel they can revive Curry's career by placing him next to Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. But it is unclear who the Spurs would send to the Warriors in such a deal.

The Warriors are reportedly asking for David Lee to complete a straight two-team trade with New York.

This would be nice if the Spurs can send Bonner plus something to the Warriors or the Knicks for us to get Curry. He is still young and can play. Get him on a diet plan and we have the twin towers back. Well not really, but he can develop.

I heard Gerald Wallace is going to be traded from the Bobcats, if the Spurs could get him, that would be awesome

I'm not sure about Curry. It seems that he's another lazy player. He doesn't like to put the effort. He got benched and now is complaining publicly. D'Antoni said that he needs to put a better effort in his training. Malik Rose is getting more playing time than Curry. That is what I read in some New York newspapers.

Maybe somebody has a different take on him.

I'm not too sure about Curry either but it would seem like he could help us with our interior D and rebounding, two areas that the Spurs are lacking in big time right now.

I just don't know what we could trade for him. Curry is going to make about $30 million over the next three seasons. I don't want to take on bad contracts and mortgage our future just because we are having a slow start. Also since Kurt Thomas just signed a new contract he cannot be traded until December 15th. This makes the Spurs options really limited.

Gerald Wallace is a player that is destined to play for the Spurs.
He is a pop type player and his D is awesome.
If some how we could land him that would be incredible.

Welcome VSpan. I think the Spurs are pretty happy with Bonner right now, I don't see them making any major moves.

Curry in trouble.
NEW ORLEANS (AP)—A man who worked as a driver for Eddy Curry is suing the New York Knicks center, contending Curry owes him money, sexually harassed him and berated him with racist slurs.

Curry denies the accusations.
