Damnit Damnit dammmmit!!!! I wanted him! Well, yeah, have fun always being at the bottom of the conference and struggling to make the playoffs Coery. I like the Warriors and all, but they're still gonna have a tough time especially with no All-Star point gaurd now. Hopefully we have other plans, who else is out there? Speaking of all-star PG's, I wonder how Baron is feeling now, with Brand pulling a craziness 180 to Philly. Sixers look pretty good on paper now.

Golden State is freakin' stupid! He is not a $10-million player, not even close. They are trying to get some sort of payback I suppose for the Beard-dizzle leaving? Chris Mullin is a damn fool, just look at that haircut. Morons.

Let's see:

Monta Ellis
Corey Maggette, Kelenna Azubuike, the Italian dude
Stephen Jackson, that rookie guy
Al Harrington, Brandan Wright
Andris Biedrins

Very athletic with lots of scorers, but no defense still. Not exactly intimidating in the West. They are the new Phoenix, hands down (run -n- gun). But not as good.

===============

And is Brand actually considering going to Philly or is it just posturing to make the Baron move look unscripted? $20-million more is a hell of a lot to pass up if he does stay in Clipperland, where the playoffs will be as elusive as ever.

Andre Miller, Lou Williams
Andre Iquodala
Thaddeus Young
Elton Brand
Samuel Dalembert

Not bad for the East, they can maybe knock off the Pistons now. Their bench still blows, I don't even know who else they have although I feel as though I am missing someone obvious. Help me out here somebody.

================

Well damn, oh well let's look at those other options.

First Beno gets 30 million. Then Maggette gets 50 million. Whats next, Barry getting a 3 or 4 million a year offer from another team? :thud:

:cry:

I agree that not signing Maggette sucks, but we never really had a chance people. Even if he didn't sign with the Warriors the Clippers probably would have resigned him. If Philly doesn't land Brand or Josh Smith then they probably go after Maggette. Lets look at the positive side here. True, the Spurs didn't get Maggette but neither did any of the other title contenders in the NBA. That should bring some relief to everyone. I am sure the Spurs were absolutely prepared for this and probably expected this. They have a back up plan. Also, no reason to bash Maggette for turning down 5.8 million to make 10 million. Are you kiddng me? You'd be an idiot to turn down that kind money.

Another positive, the West just got weaker. The Clippers and Warriors were fringe playoff teams before free agency began, now I don't think either has a chance of making the playoffs. Two less teams to worry about during the regular season in my opinion.

Well if he took the 5.8 he'd be an idiot with a ring in the incoming season...

I'm more of the thinking of "his loss" than being mad at him. To paraphrase Pop on recruiting Finley a few years ago, we would've loved to have him but we don't need him. We'll find other pieces to add to get us back in the title hunt.
