Melvin Ely wants out of Charlotte

Melvin Ely wants out of Charlotte

This is the final year of his contract. He is a decent backup FC. Reasonably athletic, and he can block some shots.

Do you think the Spurs should pursue him?

We could send Horry (though he looked outstanding in the last game).

Or we could send them Eric Williams. That trade might actually benefit both teams. I could see Williams taking "Fabio" Herrmann's minutes and in San Antonio we could use another athletic FC.

I would have no problem giving up Williams for Ely, Horry I'm not so sure.

Nice prediction Wolfie.

Any other Spurs moves you want to predict now?

Seriously, great call. At least it was the Eric Williams scenerio that went through and not the Horry one. Got any lotto numbers for us?

Yes, that was a great trade. I am also glad that the Spurs only had to give up Williams. Low risk, with a solid potential reward.

He wasn't getting much playing time in Charolette behind Okafor and May. He is not a great rebounder but isn't bad either.
