Spurs show interest in Kurt Thomas

KURT ON BLOCK: Former Knick Kurt Thomas could be the next big man on the move in the Western Conference. Thomas, who is in his final year of his contract with Seattle, has drawn interest from several teams including Orlando, San Antonio, Cleveland and Houston.

The Magic seems to have the inside track because it has the expiring contracts that the Sonics covet.

If Barry is not going to come back I would love to see the Spurs trade him and Elson for KT. I just don't see the motivation for Seattle to trade him though. Unless it is just to be nice to Kurt and let him play with a contender. His contract expires after this season as well and he has shown great leadership to their young players.

From what I have heard the Sonics are more interested in trading their two french players Johan Petro, Meckael Gelabale, Wally Z, and Damian Wilkins.

I would only do this trade if the Artest trade doesn't work out.
