I'm not one to blame one loss on a single refs call....but did anyone see where Van Exel got fouled on a long two....but they called it a three? I think it was in the third quarter or so? He was orignally attempting a three...but took a step over the line to draw contact. Van Gundy mentioned it should have been a two. They called it 3, he nailed all three FT's...who knows, if they do call that a two like they should have, the Spurs are tied down the stretch, not down by one, then after Duncan misses his shot, Spurs don't have to foul....maybe they miss, and it goes to overtime? Eh, we'll never know. I just thought that piece of info was kind of interesting. <p></p><i></i>

Yep, and Tim didn't get three shots on his trip to the line where he shot from three point range. Probably wouldn't have mattered, but maybe knowing he could tie would have changed things on his FT attempt?<br>

Yeah Nicks three free throws instead of two is an inexcusable mistake by the wretched officiating crew. That call affected the game tremendously. Tim only got two free throws because Nick fouled him as soon as he got the ball, before Duncan was able to get an attempt off. <p></p><i></i>

Yeah Maverick, but it would have been a good time for a makeup call. It didn't take Tim too much time to shoot it, and I've seen NBA refs give 3 shots in similar situations.<br>

I think that most Mavs fans would prefer to see less calls. Bennet Salvador seems to always make bad calls against the Mavs and Spurs.<br>

I was very surprised to see the Spurs beating the Mavs at the running game in the first quarter.<br>

Last night was not a good judge of how good the Mavs offense is, I'm not sure of the exact number, but I think we shot near 40% from the field. I still can't believe that we won the game, coming back from 14 in the fourth. <p></p><i></i>

The Spurs playoff defense will do that to a team.<br>

Yeah, until Hack-a-Bowen started, the Spurs were running the Mavs out of the gym. That's really when the refs started tightening up. Each intentional foul was met with an unintentional touch foul on the other end.<br>
