Bruce Bowen

Just wondering what Spurs fans are thinking of Bowen not being on the floor during the final seconds.

What do you think Bruce's confidence will be like, knowing that his coach won't trust him in the final seconds when he is the league leader in 3 point %.

I don't think last night's game changes the teams mindset at all.

It's a tough call. I think Bruce should have been on the floor and we just fight through the bush-league fouling.

And as much as you would like to wish that because of one loss, the team is in some sort of turmoil:
You obviously aren't very familiar with the Spurs.

Well since he shoots 40% from the line and the Mavs were obviously going to foul it looked like a no-brainer to me.

I do think they should have played him more in the 4th before it got to that point, but the refs weren't allowing defense anyway.

It was probably the right thing to do. No one knows better than Bruce what his liability on the free throw line does to the Spurs.

As far as his confidence is concerned - he played great defense every minute he was on the floor. He knows what his strength is and what it does for the Spurs.
Their is no question about Bowen's defense, I just think that its kind of wierd not having the best 3 point shooter in the league on the floor when you need a 3.
Why were Duncan and Robinson still on the floor, with only 4 seconds left and down by three? It can't be because of rebonding because it would be pretty hard to get a shot off have one of them get the rebound and still get off a 3 pointer.
I don't think the Spurs were going for a three pointer from beyond the arc.

Tim could have been going high low to Dave fishing for a traditional and one three point play. Tim had the ball over his head as if he were preparing to whip the ball inside.

If Nellie's bump Bruce strategy reveals one thing, it's that he's afraid to give the Spurs the opportunity to beat him.
