County Morgue

County Morgue

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but the SBC Center is just not the home-court I thought it would be. Although Portland played very well tonight and probably would have won anyway, the noise and enthusiasm is just not there. It's very disappointing.

After the run, the Spurs coasted again. They stunk tonight, especially Timmay. Since when are teams able to stop him? All of a sudden it looks like a grind just for him to get a bucket.
--

Are you implying that if the fans had been noisier and more enthusiastic that the Spurs might have won!?!? Doubtful.

I was there, and the fans tried real hard to find something to cheer about. It wasn't the SBC Center that was a morgue, it was the whole Spurs team.

In the second quarter when we finally tied the game, it was loud. Not deafening, but loud. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. There seems to be a direct inverse relationship between buckets falling and decible levels rising.

We can only hope it gets better.

The SBC Center was a morgue.

There were a bunch of dead Spurs in it trying to play basketball.

Like dead people, they weren't very effective at it.

I don't think you can judge the place after only three games or so. Wait until the playoffs.

yeah i am confident the SBC Center will still end up being the best home court in the NBA. Gotta give it time.
