danny ferry and steve smith!!!

i think danny ferry steve smith needs to get more minutes!!!<br>
don't get me wrong, i'm a big fan of rose, jackson, and ginobili, but when it comes down to final minutes in important games, experience is A HUGE ELEMENT!!!<br>

the spurs almost lost when Shaq came out of the game!!!<br>
it might seem like it sounds weird, but without Shaq, the lakers are quicker and can keep up with spurs and make good defensive plays and transition points.<br>
and spurs had no answer<br>

so spurs should ferry to defend<br>
he's not the quickest or the strongest but he's a veteran who doesn't get tricked or pushed around<br>
he gets under opponents's skins!!!<br>
and he can shoot!!!<br>

smith, also a veteran, doesn't get rattled or confused<br>
he may not be athletic or talented as the young guys, but he won't make stupid mistakes either<br>
plus he'll make free throws if you give him the ball when a foul is inevitable<br>
<br>
spurs have a awesome balance of young athletic engergetic players and older experienced players<br>
<br>
now, everything's too tilted<br>
let's make use of the awesom veterans!!!!! <p></p><i></i>

Who's playing time would take away? Less minutes for Malik? Manu or SJax? <p></p><i></i>

Ferry and Smitty are both the embodiment of professionals. I'm comfortable knowing that both are ready to go at a moments notice if one of our regulars gets in foul trouble or (heaven forbid) they get injured.<br>

Ferry is a great sub to antagonize another player. I'd put Ferry on any Faker who just received a technical foul. Ferry has already received a double foul with Kobe. The dude is a sly, evil in a good way.<br>
<br>
Smitty is a good sub if the Fakers are clogging the middle with defenders. He's got an outside shot and has the ability and height to move without the ball to the baseline and score off passes and offensive rebounds.<br>
<br>
Steve Kerr is also an under utilized weapon who would dog Fisher on defense well beyond the three point line. Just like Smitty, Kerr has the ability to stretch a defense with his outside shooting. <p></p><i></i>

Both of those guys would see major minutes on the Lakers. It might be a good idea to have one of them in there late in the game. Freethrows and TO's are a huge concern when nursing a large lead. <p></p><i></i>

I loved that they got their minutes and shots and REVENGE late in the 4th quarter. Smitty REALLY rubbed it in with that last spot-up tre, and made Derek Fisher cry even more. He has been waiting for that moment for quite some time. <p>--<!--EZCODE BR START--><br /><!--EZCODE BR END--><br>

don't get me wrong...i love manu/rose/ and Sjax...<br>
but being the young team they are, usually one of them will be a little off...(last game was an exception and it was awesome)<br>

if rose is off, ferry can go in, if manu or jax is having a slow game, then smith can come in<br>
<br>
it's good to let them stay in sometimes, but at other times, it's good for the coach to get in their face and make 'em sit for a while<br>
