Personally, I am most surprised by Utah. I should have known better than to count out Stockton/Malone, but they're getting good contribution and leadership from their future.

Phoenix is weird to me. I didn't know what to make of them last year and I'm not sure what to make of them this year. One thing is for sure...Amare Stoudamire is the real deal.

Dallas can't be too much of a surprise. They may carry this through to home court in the playoffs. The proof comes in the playoffs. Nothing they do in regular season would surprise me.

No Eastern team can be too big of a surprise with regards to record. The Conference is better but still the inferior to the rugged West. Indy is 7-5 vs. Western Conf.
Pitter, please post here more often, your commentary is always top rate. I cannot disagree with one inkling of your comments. I particularly feel the same vibe about the Mavs. They could win 65 games in the regular season, but how many head-to-heads will they win against San Antonio and Sacramento, and how will they fare in the second round of the playoffs.

I believe that Utah is quite a surprise, but they probably won't have the gas to get out of the first round.

Grande,

Thanks man. I was in between computers at the start of the year. Plus I got laid off in November, so I have a little more time on my hands. Always enjoy the banter here.

BTW, Grande, I know you've posted this before, but remind me, where are you from again?
Pitter - we are glad you are back, if for no other reason than you are one of the best troll wranglers Seriously though, we hope you can make it to the GTG on the 25th. Pitter, I consider myself a San Antonian although I was born in Houston and went to college in Cincinnati. I presently live in Brazil and spend about eight months each year down there, four in the U.S. I live overseas as I work in the import/export business.

Btw, I will be in San Antonio for the next GTG against Detroit on the....25th of this month is it??

I'm surprised by the Clippers the most.

They shouldn't be this bad with all there talent. While they have had some injuries, they still should be better than what they are.
"When I grow up, I want to be a principal or a caterpillar." - Ralph Wiggum
