I don't think the Spurs were overconfident - I think all the free throw shooting ruined the tempo and they couldn't play the way they need to in order to win. hey....its one game in a seven game series and we did blow game 1 to Phoenix. And remember, it's not like Dallas totally shut down our offense. They won by outscoring us (which is how they beat almost any team) and by shooting 50 FT's. They made 49, gotta give em credit there, but they can't count on shooting THAT many again. Tim got a decent look, he'll make that shot most of the time...it just wasn't to be. Dallas beat us, but not at our own game. I was concerned even when we were up big and had scored 36 in the 1st...you knew the Mavs were gonna make a run and get on one of their hot streaks. We need to do a better job of playing at our pace and not try to get into and all run-and-gun, trigger happy style. We can run the break ourselves...but Dallas is so good at that style of play. SO we gotta make 'em play our favorite style. I'm confident that Pop and the rest of the team will make the necessary adjustments.<br>

Can Timmy play any better? The guy did everything and they still lost, someone else needs to step up for the spurs.<br>

Also, MVP's make their free throws. Timmy did not, i guess it was the somber mood in the home arena. <br>
<br>
Free throw shooting is part of the game, it's a weakness for SA and a strength for Dallas. Just like SA has an inside game, and Dallas can shoot it.<br>

Maybe Spurs fans thought Dallas would rollover. The only thing rolling over is the "Coyote"...<br>

nobody here has said that. You seem pretty smart so hearing a stupid blanket statement like that is surprising. I will say this again, like I did in previous posts, props where they are due. Dallas did not give up and hit there free throws and SA didn't.
