Quick Thoughts: Mike Wilkes, Who's #1 ?

I have not heard any word on the status of Mike Wilkes place in the Spurs Org. I have always said that I liked Mike. He is a decent ball handler is quick and can shoot if need be. I always thought I would choose Beno over him in the event of a platyoff roster choice but thought that Mike's quickness could have been better used, than a hurt Devin Brown, especially in the Detroit trap where Beno was apparently targeted.

Having said that I also wonder what kind of if any superstitions Pop caries in the way of roster selections.

Starting from the '99 run, there has been a 5' 11" point guard on every championship team. In '99 it was Avery. In '03 it was Speedy and this year though he sat, it was Mike Wilkes. In between there has not been a point guard that was under six foot.

Now if anybody hears word let me know. I'd like to keep him on the roster for good luck.
I hadn't paid too much attention to the back of the wheaties box and since I don't have my box yet, I wondered retrospectively, who is the guy wearing #1 in the team picture on the back??

I know who it wasn't.

Turns out it was Dion Glover.

Now do he and the other cut and traded guys get rings?
Hmmm, wonder when they took the team picture? Wasn't he signed relatively late.....
I'd rather have Andre Barrett than Mike Wilks. Barrett has more skill, is faster, CHEAPER, and runs a team better.
