WHY??? Why did the Lakers feel safe leaving Kobe in?<br>

I have always said that the refs do not let anything go unoticed. In the 70's they let em play. It is no longer the case. Ticky tack fouls are ruining the game.<br>

They have changed the 3 second rule, illegal D etc. They even made the opening series 7 games this year due to SHAQ and the LAKESHOW.<br>

If the refs backed off just 10% the LAKERS would steam role. This is a mans game and IMO they should. Yet if they did nobody would watch...the outcome never in doubt.<br>

Another reason to earn the home advantage. No way should calls be bad but the style of play should dictate the refs actions and the home team should control that from the onset.<br>

We have a right to state the obvious. I realize the truth hurts...heck, I don't even like the truth, but I'm not one to live in denial. I'd much rather that the NBA was a pure sporting event. I'd much rather feel excited about it like I do about college bowls, the NCAA tourney, or the NFL playoffs. There is something wrong with the NBA. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is. I'm not going to bite my toungue to shelter Laker fans, nor am I going to hold back and pretend I don't see what I see, to protect myself from the awful truth.<br>

If the league backs off as you say*, then I hope you don't complain when Malik Rose runs right over Derek Fisher because he gets him on a mismatch. Also, all the skinnies will become relatively useless on defense. Keon Clark will have to find a new job since a thick player will be able to shove right through him. As Shaq's health declines, Tractor Trailer might become the new MVP.<br>
