How come a sellout from the series vs. Suns was 19,217 at the SBC?

It's back to what I thought was the standard 18,797 for this series. Anyone know why the capacity changed? Every game has been a sellout thusfar.

What a scene at the SBC Center! The place was rocking and rolling, so much energy and passion for their hometown Spurs. ... The Spurs winning Game 1 serves as a huge confidence booster, especially heading into Wednesday’s game. The Lakers have dominated the Spurs in the previous years in the playoffs and the Spurs needed this win on many levels. ... Manu Ginobili was huge in the fourth quarter. The Argentinian guard is looking like the missing piece that could make the difference for them to get to the next level. With the Lakers collapsing on Duncan, Manu hit a huge three, grabbed a key steal, hit two free throws and a brought down the house with a reverse dunk. … Devean George turning his ankle really hurts the Lakers, especially after losing Rick Fox. ... We’re in for quite a ride in this series. The Lakers are going to look to bounce back, especially Kobe and Shaq … Game 2 can’t get here soon enough!!
Just think. If Spurs shoot 80% from ft line in game 1. (as they did tonight). They win that one by double digits!

When the series started, I didn't give Spurs much of a chance. Thought they'd be "pshyced" out by Lakers. Obviously not!
I know there's a long way to go. Lakers will certainly respond with better play at home. But the Spurs are just the better "team". At least they are playing as the better team. We know Kobe/Shaq are going to show every game. But no one else on that team can do anything.
Whereas the Spurs come with someone different every night!
Hell. Tim only had 12 pt's tonight. In a BLOWOUT!!!!
Pitter, the reason is because they didn't add the extra seats like they did with Phoenix series in the Fan zone area. I don't know why. You figure they would want more people, (& money), in the center for especially this series against the Lakers. Don't know who's call that was.

What a great game to watch! I even stayed up through the end of the 3rd quarter. What did the Zenmaster have to say about this game? Bowen made them pay for ignoring him on offense!!! Everyone played with an upbeat tempo!!

The Spurs installed some temporary bleachers on risers for the Suns series. They were built on the 200 level west baseline on top of the common area by the fan zone. These bleachers increased the maximum capacity above 19,000.

With the Laker series, the seats have been removed for the press. Unfortunately for the common Spurs fan, the hordes of media will be taking up more seats as the Spurs advance. The bleacher seats were the first to go, but I'm sure there will be permanant seats taken up by the press if the Spurs advance to the Western Conference Finals.

I say let more press watch so that more of the world can see the Spurs taking out the Lakers in five.
