What the heck is it with this team

They go from playing great to playing with there heads up their collective arse in the 4th qtr.<br>

That is plain and simple horrible we lost game 4 because of it and we almost squandered another big lead because of it.<br>
<br>
Does this team just forget how to make shots or smart passes all of a sudden or how to play defense or dive for lose balls<br>
<br>

It's the youth. Parker, Gino, Speedy, and Jackson are all inexperienced. Malik plays like he's inexperienced against the Lakers. The plus side is, we are on our way to a world championship right now, and these guys are all going to get better. They are going to learn how to stomp on someone when they are down. <br>

I expect them to get better at it gradually...not anytime this series or playoffs.<br>

Right now they have more talent top to bottom than the Lakers, but they have a weakness in late game execution and complacency. They are fearsome firebreathing dragon with a little soft spot on their underbelly. They can still roast most opponents, yet sometimes their weakness gets the better of them. <p></p><i></i>

We have 3 players that we rely on down the stretch (because face it, Tim cant score on Shaq) and they are iffy when the pressure is on.<br>

I no longer know what to think of this team or this series. At first I thought Lakers would win. Based on their experience,coach,and pshyc edge over Spurs.<br>

After first 2 games I thought Spurs in 5 maybe 6.<br>

Now after WINNING game 5, insuring a game 7 at home. I can't help but feel discouraged! <br>
I just hope we find a way to pull out the next game. I just don't think we beat them in a game 7. <br>

Great takes everyone, except of course Kirby. Sjax and TP and Manu were cold as steel during the 4th quarters in the second half of this season, and even against Phoenix, but these Lamers are another story. They need to treat Showbe just like they treated Mebury late in games. Don't turn your back on him and play him to the VERY LAST SECOND!!! Don't give him ANY breathing room not for one second.<br>

Under the pressure last night, none of Manu, TP, or SJax took a 3-pt shot in the 4th quarter because they tightened up. Meanwhile, Shaw, Showbe, Medvendenko, and Pargo were hitting everything in sight all quarter long. I understand that. The youngsters don't want to make any mistakes that cost them the game.<br>

But I expect next game they should play loose and bombs away from the arc when the Lamers double Tim in crunch time. They should expect it, and prepare for it. Just like against Phoenix, when they resigned themselves to hitting the shots late. They need to EXPECT Tim to be doubled and passing out of it to get the open shot. NO HESITATION, just all buckets. THAT's the way to put these Lamers away once and for all even IF the zebras are on their side. In Game 4, they ALMOST did just that, but they fell short by 1 or 2 shots. This time they need to have the mentality to not be satisfied with 1 or 2 daggers, but to keep on striking all the way to the very end. They play not to lose. In the 3rd, they came out and played like they did in the first half. Then LA closed out the 3rd on a 11-2 run to get it down to 16. From that point on, the Spurs played not to lose. They weren't cutting to the basket, running with the ball or taking good shots. Everything was throw it into Tim and let him bail us out. In most cases, I would agree with that but you aren't going to get the calls in the 4th. You have to stay aggressive and keep doing the things that made you successful. They have proven that they can play with LA, but they still need to prove that they can finish them out. Killer Instinct!!!!!!!!! <p></p><i></i>
