Will Kobe finish his career in a Lakers uniform?

I can't answer this one, but I will make a bet that as soon as either Kobe or Shaq leaves, so will Phil Jackasson. Kobe will never get the one thing he craves as much as championships - respect - until he proves he can lead a team without Shaq.<br>

If Shaq retires early because of health issues, I can see Kobe staying in LA. If Shaq refuses to pack it in, I can see Kobe leaving. <br>

So just because Kobe stays with shaq he has no balls ?<br>
Kobe's game on the court proves he's got balls. But the day will come when shaq retires or kobe goes to another team and Kobe will have to prove himself. And I think Kobe will welcome that challenge. Whether or not Kobe will stay in LA or not I can't say for sure, but I hope so though.<br>

Yea, t-mac would probably have a couple rings if he had shaq. But that's not my point. My point is that to say that kobe is "NOTHING" is a little far-fetched isn't it ? With out shaq, kobe would still be a great player. And you'd have to respect that, even if you don't like him. I believe that you guys make these comments because you guys don't like kobe. Even if T-mac is better than kobe, so what ? Who cares ? All least I don't. <p></p><i></i>

Kobe will go to Memphis to be with his buddy Jerry West. The framework in Memphis is already being laid down to have young talent around that an older, wiser Kobe can lead. I seriously doubt that Kobe would have any rings without Shaq but I also feel Shaq would have none without Kobe. It is possible, Staples, to criticize a player irregardless of how you feel about that player personally. I dont know where Kobe will be next season...and to be honest I could care less.<br>

Kribby, I'd ask for a good take, but I think it's beyond your ability. Being in the hall of fame and winning championships are independent of each other.<br>

Pippen has proven that he can't lead a team to the finals, yet he is a member of the 50 greatest NBA players. It's the second part that will get Pippen to the hall. The ego (Kobe) won't win a championship without the Big Fatass (Shaq), and it won't prevent him from getting into the hall. Do you think they'll turn Malone and Stockton away because he didn't get a ring? <p></p><i></i>
