Game 6 Keys to Victory
By Grande David for ClubSpurs.com

I think that biggest key will be patience and shot selection in the first quarter. You don’t want to let Phoenix jump out to an early lead tonight. Their confidence must be kept at bay early on.

The big keys include keeping Tim Duncan out of foul trouble. I have said this time and again and I will guarantee, excuse me, guaranSHEED, this….if Tim Duncan makes it to the fourth quarter with no more than 3 fouls, the Spurs will win the ballgame. Tim will not let the team down tonight. Neither will Manu.

Michael Finley is starving for a championship, so we need him to hit a few customary big shots, and any offense we can get from Brent Barry is much welcome.

The Spurs need to hit the boards tonight. No more getting outrebounded by these softies.

It would also be nice if Francisco would stop being so gullible in the post and getting drawn into the air.

Basically, the keys are pretty obvious:

  • Duncan’s foul situation
  • Rebounding
  • Defense
  • Shoot 35%+ from three point land
  • You can expect Phoenix to get to the line more tonight. I’m pretty sure the refs will continue to give the Suns plenty of sympathy calls.
